Expectations for All Weddings
This is one of the most important days in your clients' lives. Read through this handbook thoroughly, and reach out to Noah if anything is unclear.
Be Prepared
At least one meeting is required with each of your clients, typically 30 days before their wedding date, via video chat or phone call. Discuss all pertinent information: logistics, special moments, timelines, etc. Before the meeting, review their planning account to see what information they've added, what package they selected, and any add-ons they've chosen.
Be On Time
When you discuss the day's proceedings in the final info meeting, you'll determine the best time to begin shooting. When the wedding day arrives, be on time — it alleviates stress for your clients to see you there, ready to capture the day. Give yourself adequate setup and transition time as well.
Be Flexible
Every wedding is a little different, so be ready to think on your feet. We go above and beyond for our clients — if a little more time is needed, or some extra effort is required, take care of your clients. Additional time beyond the contracted agreement is compensated.
Be Happy
While clients, guests, and family members are enjoying a wedding, we bring our A game. Be cheerful, smile at the guests, say congrats to the couples, call the family by name. Your positive energy resonates with others at the wedding and makes for a better experience.
- At least one meeting is required (phone or video chat)
- Arrive early
- Be ready to go above and beyond
- Smile and enjoy the wedding
Photo Packages
Three packages, each building on the last. Because couples book so far in advance, the package they booked may differ from the current offering — check your wage notes on their account for the specific shoot time that applies.
- Online gallery of all edited images
- Download access to all edited images
- Unlimited email communication
- Final information meeting with photographer
- Client portal planning account
- Everything in Pine
- Engagement photography session
- Sneak peeks within 1 week
- Everything in Oak
- Custom wedding album (up to 20 pages)
Clients may also add an engagement session, a second shooter, or additional hours beyond the package. Your wage notes will reflect anything added to a specific booking.
On-Site Shooting Expectations
Capture the day to the best of your ability, highlighting both what the couple has communicated and what you choose. We encourage using your creative judgement.
- Be prepared for each moment and capture it as it happens
- Ask questions during the final meeting — what portraits they want, any specific photos they've seen on Instagram or TikTok, and try to catch their vibe
- Come with proper lighting, a backup plan, and extra cards and batteries
Technical knowledge and expertise when shooting weddings is required. There are no restrictions on what equipment is used, but we expect proper lighting, backup plans, and extra cards and batteries.
Delivery of Photos to Editor
The job isn't considered complete until the photos reach the editor.
- It's the photographer's responsibility to deliver photos to one of our editors for final edits — via cloud transfer or external hard drive.
- We advise purchasing an external hard drive dedicated to wedding photos and mailing it to our editors. You'll be given the name and contact info of your assigned editor.
- Photos must be delivered to the editor within 2 weeks of shooting the wedding.
- All unedited photos for weddings must be stored for 1 year.
Delivery of Finished Albums
All edited photo albums are delivered via Pixieset within 3 months of the wedding date.
All finished albums remain the intellectual property of Prestige Weddings. Prestige Weddings then delivers the finished albums to the client.
Other Photo Opportunities
We're always looking for new promotional material. At weddings, we greatly appreciate capturing behind-the-scenes photos of other services we provide, headshots, etc. If you create a separate album for us to use to promote other services, we're happy to compensate you for it! We're flexible, and we know how talented you are.
Logging Into Your Online Account
We'll create a personal online account for you to keep track of events, clients, and more. We'll send you your username and password to log in. Use this account to submit your availability as well.
